I was really blown away by this. It's not as good as the director's train to busan which this is a prequel to but it's truly unique and disturbing. Picking up days before the events of that film it shows how the infection slowly breaks amongst the homeless population at first and begins to spread quickly. Along the way we are introduced to some truly complex charachters with troubling pasts that reveal themselves in truly shocking ways. It's a bit slow in the first half but picks up steam midway through. It never has that intense, non stop quality of the film but the finale will stay with you for a long time after the credits role. The film is shocking, horrifying and emotionally resonant.
