Rated R for strong language, violence, gore and lots and lots of unnecessary nudity.

I feel guilty for even saying this but I kinda enjoyed Muck. I mean there's something to be said for a bad movie that knows it's bad and does the best job can at filling the quotas set out by what it is. Muck is that movie and in addition to be being bad it's pretty fun. There's not much story here just some group of monsters led by the Iconic Kane Hodder who attack and brutally murder a group of teens in a swamp like area. I have to admit the approach from Steve Wolsch is fresh and unique. Instead of setting up the story with a lot of useless set up  and wasting our time away especially in a film like this. We are thrust right into the middle of things. When it starts the group has already been attacked one guy's wounded and one of the girls is half naked in only a bra and panties. There's little characterization in the beginning but from the quippy and delightfully mean dialogue we get who the character stereotypes are. That being said the film has fun in flipping expectations in who ends up being murdered in which order and who the film's real main characters are. The movie is excessively gratuitous and features so many scenes of girls getting naked in the bathroom and changing you can do a shot a game to them. As well as one appreciated scene of one of the guys flipping his shirt for no reason and other soft core scenes which have a guy attacked by the creatures and his shirt torn off as well as an unnecessary shower scene with a sexy young woman and a sprinkler scene with the same character. Plus there is just a lot of breasts everywhere. Let's face it Steve Wolsch knows his dirty audience and isn't afraid to give them most of what they want. But despite that the film is fun, it is bad. It can be clever at times but it's disjointed with hardly any story or purpose and it's shot badly although it does have some interesting cinematography at points. All in all you could do worse it does deliver on the most basic of genre needs. Plus Steve Wosch casted his film with a lot of very attractive people look below for some screen shots. ***/5
